Accessibility statement

If part of Pathway Skills is hard to use, this page tells you what we know about and how to ask for help. You don’t need to explain why.

Pathway Skills is being built towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This page lists what we have tested, what we know is not yet there, and how to ask for an adjustment.

Conformance

Pathway Skills is being built towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We test with NVDA, VoiceOver, and Dragon by our in-house accessibility lead. We do not claim full conformance until the Accessibility Statement lists zero known issues at AA level.

What we have tested

  • Keyboard-only navigation across the platform
  • NVDA on Firefox (Windows 11)
  • VoiceOver on Safari (macOS, iOS)
  • 200% browser zoom on Chrome and Safari
  • Dragon NaturallySpeaking voice control
  • prefers-reduced-motion (no decorative motion is shipped)
  • prefers-contrast (high-contrast mode supported)

Known issues

We are honest about what is not yet there. The table below lists current known issues, target fix dates, and workarounds.

Initial entries pending publication. Issues will be added as accessibility audits surface them; an empty table is not a claim of zero issues — every accessibility statement has open work in progress.

Equality Act 2010 — reasonable adjustments

If something on the platform gets in your way — a screen-reader issue, text too small, you need extra time on a mock — tell us or your tutor. We’ll change it. You don’t need a diagnosis or a letter.

Under the Equality Act 2010 section 20, we have an anticipatory duty to make reasonable adjustments. If the platform has a barrier that stops you using it, we will work with you and your provider to remove it.

How to ask

Through your tutor — your tutor can do this for you. They can adjust your account, request extra time on mock exams, or change content settings. You don’t need to go direct.

Direct to us — email accessibility@pathway-skills.com or help@pathway-skills.com. We aim to respond within 2 working days.

If you are not happy with our response

If you’ve raised an accessibility issue with us and you’re not happy with how we’ve responded, you can contact the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) opens in new tab in England, Scotland or Wales, or the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland opens in new tab.

Standards we follow

WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We also reference the GOV.UK Service Standard, AbilityNet, and RNIB guidance. Where the Equality Act and an awarding body’s access-arrangement rules diverge, we follow the awarding body for assessment-validity reasons. Speak to your provider for assessment access arrangements (extra time, modified papers, reader/scribe).
